I've been told this by several ford techs and there are videos all over YouTube.
Obviously I don't reccomend this but it's a last resort

Even though I've seen others recommend and have had multiple success stories with the impact. I wouldn't recommend it.

If it was a cast iron head, maybe. Aluminum? Would never use an impact.

Replaced mine at 110K miles w the same factory Autolites, but local garage did for $80.00+tax. No muss and no fuss. Said not to bother replacing the individual coils. Got almost 20K on replacement plugs. I guess if doing myself w/o the right tools for tight plugs, would probably use Kroil and let sit for a few hours.

Good luck in getting your plugs replaced.

I used Champion 7989 on mine. No problems. I did remove my original plugs when I was a littler under 15,000mi and even then I saw carbon build up and the plugs were tight.

I've used Champion plugs the last two changes. No problems at all. Car runs great. Easier to sleep knowing when I do take 'em out they'll come out in 1 piece.

I've Been looking at the champion plugs and have seen good reviews. I was also looking at Ngk iridiums as well and found a set of 8 on American muscle. It says it's for mid 08-10 models. Will these not fit my car? I thought all 05-09 could use the same spark plugs

No, they will not fit your car. Ford had a head design change (thank God) in mid 2008. After that our engines used a standard type plug unlike the crap 2 piece plugs starting in '05.
