Default GT/CS owners, I need your help! 2005-09

05-09 owners that is (forgot to mention that). I am working on installing a new bumper and a lower radiator shield. I am not really sure what I am missing here. I thought I got all the parts correct after looking at what is needed by looking at FordParts.com diagrams using a GT/CS VIN.

However, the screws just seem too small to hold the radiator shield in. They don't slip through the hole, however with the plastic being so soft, I am afraid they will after a few bumps in the road due to stress. Can someone snap some pictures of their oem setup? Am I missing some washers that are not listed in the diagrams?

Yeah thats not going to hold. You could throw a washer on there though to make it work. If I remember when I get home, I'll look under the wife's GT and see if hers has larger screws on it but I wouldnt be surprised if that shield is gone on her car with the SC install.

On mine it's a gray looking screw with a large washer attached.

Apparently I ordered incorrect screw. The part number for the screw that is used to hold the shield in place is N801169-S900. The screw actually comes with a washer attached. Need 7 of them. Might as well order them and do it the right way.
Thanks guys!
