My pony's gone...
I had to let her go...
I picked up Epona with barely 7 miles in July 2005 at the bright young age of 18. Her stock 210HP was unheard of, to me, and she was lightning fast compared to my training wheels (1996 Toyota 4Runner). Over the past 8 years, I tuned and molded her into my own, using my own two hands whenever possible. But I had to let her go; with her peeling vinyl, dings and dents, and stuck shifter I had to let her go... to make way for something better.
Epona II!
Epona II is a 2014 Mustang GT in "deep impact blue." The first thing I did was take off that horrid plate and plug the holes with some hardware found at O'Reilly auto. Already lining up my build list: better sound first, black 10" stripes next, then exhaust (axle back this time), and a BOSS intake when the budget permits.
Anyway, here she is!
(I apologize for the crappy cell phone shot)
(Update) New photos with a real camera!

I love DIB. If I had to trade mine in, I would definitely get that. Nice upgrade OP.
I really like that grille on your '05. It's something I've never seen before. Did you just mash together a Pony Package grille with a GT? I'll have to save that picture for a reference.

Blue has always been my favorite color, and deep impact blue can look so drastically different in various lighting conditions. It's probably not any less maintenance than black, but I appreciate that the black accents stand out a little better now.
My V6 had a GT grille with a corral insert I purchased a while back, likely got it from v6mustangstuff.com (rpm outlet now). Then I got some flex chrome to bring it closer to that retro '67 stang look, but it also helps break up all the black.

Thanks! I'm leaning toward the BBK Varitune axle backs. I used to have dual cat-back Magnaflows on my 6 that drove my family and friends crazy, so I'd like to ability to close the valves to make it quieter, then open it up when I'm feeling adventurous.
As for striping, I'm about 90% sure I'm going with black stripes. White stripes are expected with this color. Coupled with black rims (another future mod), I feel black stripes are a no brainer:
