Help with installing subs to factory HU
Okay so I just got my 2014 Mustang and I want to install my subs (the bass is so flat ) but I want to leave my factory stereo since it has Sync. I have everything wired and put a line out converter to tap off the rear speakers and the subs are getting powered, but it is very minimal. I can hear the subs on but they don't provide much. Is it possible that the line out converter isn't wired correctly? Or is that just the way the bass is? Help please

Double check and make sure the input wires to the LOC are in phase. The negative wire for both should to the wire on the clip side of the plug. Also, check to see if there is an input sensitivity that needs to be adjusted. Check the same on the amp, and last but not least check to see that the subs are in phase. This only applies if you are running two subs. Disconnect one sub to see if you gain output. If it gets louder that means you have the subs wired out of phase.

Is the bass turned up in the car? How about the fade? Is it all up front so the rear factory speakers aren't playing much anyway? How about the input on the amp? Most of the time when run off from a speaker line converter, the input on the amp will need to be turned up.
