Any known issues with the 2013-2014 mustangs?
Hi everyone I was looking to see if anybody knew of any known issues with these year mustangs? I know a woman who has a 2013 and is in the process of doing a lemon law due to the fact she has water moving around inside her quarter panels. I was just curious if any of you guys heard or have had any personal issues with body style car. Thank you to anyone who responds.

nothing major. shifter alittle sloppy. and rear diff. angle to pos. IMO. with few easy mods all can be addressed and Improved. That is an interesting issue. wondering if she had it undercoated and drain holes got covered over. ??? It should be an easy fix. then figure out why water getting there. Or was it under water somewhere.

The 13 and 14 Mustangs look awesome and have some great power numbers to back them up, so I certainly understand your interest in getting one.
For the most part, these year Mustangs are some of the most reliable and well built Mustangs to date. They have a couple of minor flaws, but nothing horrible. It sounds like the person you know has an exception to this, but that would not deter me from getting one of these.
The worst consistent problem that has been found has been with the drive shafts on the v6s. These drive shafts can only handle a couple miles per hour over what they limited to from the factory. This is fine unless the speed limiter is removed at which point the drive shaft vibrates intensely or snaps.
Other than this the shifter is not the best and has some slope and notchiness, but nothing that can't be fixed with an aftermarket shifter. Finally, on the GT models, the hood vents are actually functional and can let water into the engine bay. This only becomes a problem with a cold air intake where the exposed filer can absorb water. This can also easily be corrected with a water catch pan offered by several vendors.
I hope this helps with your decision making process and certainly be sure to post up some pictures if or when you do get one. If you have any other questions please let myself or our customer service team know. Good luck!
