Default How can I get the clip off the clutch line?

So I'm installing a stainless steel clutch line, and every write up just says take the clip off the second line down on the firewall. Seems easy enough, but its actually pretty difficult. No tools fit into that space, and the clip has to be pulled down. Any thoughts?

The one connecting to the transmission was easy, this one is just in a cramped space so I can't get it.

I've never seen up in there and can't really tell how that clip works...but you say pull down. What about a dental pick? Could that somehow be hooked into the clip to pull it down and disengage it?

Well, possibly, one big problem is I can't get my hand anywhere near it and still see anything. The big black thing in my way I believe is the AC compressor? I loosened that but don't want to move it too much because I don't want to bend the lines attaching it.

Ok So I have the clip off, but holy mother of god is this clutch line hard to get in. I have no idea how I'm going to get it into the fitting on the top of the transmission.

The crappy part about this is that you get this job done, then you discover later the technique or the tool to do it right and realize you wasted 4 hours of your life doing it wrong the first time.

That is the AC drier, it comes out with 2 bolts but the AC lines will be attached to it still of course. You may be able to move it enough to get more room in there.
