Road noise damping...
Hey Guys, I thought I would pass along the results of my last little project on my GT500 and GT...I ran into some info somewhere that guys were using rubberized roof flashing material as sound proofing...I don't remember seeing anything posted here, so I thought I would send this out here...I went to Lowes and got a product called " Tite Seal" it is a roll 50' long and 9" wide and is maybe 1/32 in thick.. has a VERY sticky back and once it is on you wont move it! I took all the liners out of the trunk and wiped all the metal down, basically patchworked this stuff onto all the metal I could get to...put the liners back in...made a GREAT difference!! Much less noise coming from the rear and I hear the back speakers much better! Still not dead quiet but MUCH improvement! Took about 60' for what I did to the GT500, cost me 35.99 per roll...I might even do a second layer...double it up...

Sounds good. I am in the market for something that will tone down the road noise I am getting after redoing my suspension. I get a large amount of noise now and would love for that to go away. How heavy is the stuff?

I think the whole roll might weigh 4 lbs...if it is really noisy...might do 2 layers...
