I carry my S&W Shield 9mm in a Foxx IWB, around 4-5 o'clock. It can poke a bit on longer rides, but I'm a bigger guy. No issues with the seatbelt though.

My Ak-47 rests comfortably in the passenger seat at 3:00, should I need it.

I usually carry a glock 9mm of some variety at my 3 o'clock. The problem I'm having is that my holster rubs the seatbelt retainer real bad on my Mustang. I've only had my car two months and my seatbelt retainer is all scratched up already.

Does anybody else have this problem? Have you found a way to fix it?

I tried wrapping some electrical tape around the seatbelt retainer hoping that might provide a buffer. But its so hot outside right now that the tape wont stay on.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

-Ed

Sure, quit carrying the gun.

On behalf of the OP, thank you, sir, for your input. I'm sure that is the type of answer he was looking for.

Well if E-Tape fails, what about a thick coat of Plasti-dip or some truck bed liner if it's laying around?

I carry a G19 at my 4 with a G17 Mag in the center console.

My CW9 is... WAS my cold weather carry but since living in Florida I've resorted to an LCP. I can appendix carry, even in any of my cars, and still get to it easy. Now the Glock 17 simply won't be carried unless I'm back in the fridged zone; that no-man's-land north of the Mason-Dixon line; or when I open carry while wandering my acreage.

I would suggest moving it back to 4-5 O'clock, this is where I carry as well and I don't have too much issue. Depending on the gun also I will take it out of the holster if in the car.
