If the K&N is simply an "intake" Vs. a CAI with a Tune, and if you have few bucks to put out, do it. You will be a happy camper.

I had an "intake" that had a "chip" to go between the car and intake for a few years. I was happy. Then the "chip" failed" and I went CAI and Diablo Tune, found out what i had been missing. My GT is doing great, and feels great at all of 83k miles.

I would suggest just getting a tuner from a performance shop. Have them tune the car and let the know what CAI you have and they will tune it for that. You can save yourself the cost of another CAI. Most of the gains are from the hand held tuner.
