Default Mustang GT HP question

Hey everyone, so I'm going to be supercharging in the very near future. I'm going to be doing some exhaust work and suspension stuff first. After that I'm supercharging the car. I'm kind of stuck on what supercharger to get though. I want to be in the 450ish WHP range since that seems to be right around the safe point from what I have read. So my question is, would LT headers and the M90 with a smaller pulley get me there. Or should I do the R2300? I know the R2300 can go a lot higher than the M90 can. But honestly I probably will never do forged internals as much as I would like to so I don't know if I need anything more than the M90. What do you guys think.

I would get the R2300. M90 is a good sc but its small and 450 to the wheel is a bit much for this. I think there are few guys close to that but if you ever wanted say 475 then you will be glad you went with the 2300. And if you ever decide on forged internals well you have a sc to support the extra hp. Plus I would suggest riding in a car with longtubes you may not like how loud they are.

The M90 typically is good for about 400-420 crank HP IIRC, so as outceltj stated, it wouldn't suit your needs.

Thanks, I appreciate the response. I've been in a couple cars that had Longtubes. However a couple of them still had chambered mufflers and one still had a catted mid pipe. I think if I do go with longtubes, which I still think I want, I would have to change up my exhaust. Currently I have just flowmaster outlaws and those are pretty darn loud as it is. So I would probably stay catted and then do like a mac pro chamber mid pipe if possible as well as probably a mac cat back/axleback. Hopefully that will keep it a little quiet.

Personally, I'm a big fan of ProChargers-

the M90 to me is like a v6 blower. never felt it made sense on a v8 as it would run out of headroom quickly.

I have a m90 with all the extras LTs, cams, cai , tune etc.. except the pulley mod. I am at 425 rwhp. My car runs fantastic and has for over 4 years of installing the blower. I have no plans to add anymore power as the automatic trans is more of a weak link than the motor. If I were you I would get the r2300. It will be cheaper and more efficent than a m90 and adding longtubes etc.. Car will be a blast to drive with the r2300. Go for it dude.
