Anyone else have a squeaky/squealing shifer?

Default Anyone else have a squeaky/squealing shifer?

Only 12k miles and noticed for couple month now my auto shifter squeaks/squeals.Noise only present if im in drive and move it out of drive to anwhere(N,R or P).Noise is brief and noticeable, anyone knows why?

If anything, the very first thing to do is take it to the dealer service shop and have them diagnose it under warranty. Your power train is totally under warranty still and the noise is clearly not what Mustangs are supposed to do.

If you are out of warranty (you would only be out of warranty if you put in excess of 60K miles on it already), your next move should be to take it to a transmission shop to diagnose.

Sorry for taking the easy way out and offering the "take it to the shop" solution.
I am not an automatic transmission expert; and most of the other members aren't neither.

As JIM5.0 mentioned, I also recommend you have it checked out at your dealer. Then, let me get it escalated to the customer service manager for your area if needed. PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number.
