Resonator dented- worth fretting over?
Gents,
When installing the now for sale Flowmaster Outlaws last week I noticed that the resonator on the drivers side is dented significantly. And no I do not mean a ding- theres a golf ball size depression in the bottom of it. Passenger side looks fine. I don't notice any foul sounds or differences between the exhaust sides. I know this is probably a stupid question but I wanted to be sure and ask if this, if left be, could pose a greater future danger to my car. Its after the X so while it may restrict flow to the drivers side the passenger side should flow free. My big fear is that it might cause a problem with the cats. Input welcomed. |
Pics? I really doubt there's an issue here other than cosmetic and as long as you're not slowly running people over, nobody will notice.

All the resonators look like that. you don't have a problem

The other one has the dent on the top.....factory mind games.

Yea that dent is stock. Why? we may never know for sure..
may have something to do with backpressure or sound, but they just come like that... |
Thanks for the input guys- I noticed it was shaped like it was intentional so I thought the dealer may have bottomed it out on a curb or something symmetrical. Thanks for putting my mind at ease.
