So if I tune my car with no modifications on it will there be a difference or I should buy bolt on mods and tune it after?

Just a tune alone will still make a big difference.

First of all, it's LOSING, not loosing.

Second, back pressure is BAD. The less of it you have, the more power you'll make.

What's the average price of a tuner with tunes installed on it with my experience tuning a car usually costs about $800 but I've been dealing with euro cars this is my first American v8
Where in CA are you? That will determine who to use for a dyno tune, If in Northern CA, AED is the mustang shop, if in Southern CA, I'd say RET is the shop to go to.

Whether you dyno or use canned tunes, you still need a tuner, SCT is the tuner most used, so if you do a dyno tune, you will probably be at about $800 for the first time since you have to buy a tuner on top of the dyno tuning session. if you're not doing too much work, go with something like tunes from American Muscle or Brenspeed. THen you can decide if you want to dyno.

Im not going to get into the tuning debate. A hand held tuner like SCT is fine. I picked up a half second at the track because the SCT tuner changed the transmission shift points on my Camaro ss. And remove the crappy torque management. A tune, full exhaust with long tube headers, a cold air intake, and a bigger throttle body are a nice route for more power.
