2008 Bullitt Mustangs
Are the engines in these cars so well tuned that spending $500-$600 for a tuner is a waste of time and money? Or would you truly get another 20-30 h.p. out of the tuner? Also, what is the best way to get another 100-150 h.p. out of the engine? Thanks.

My '08 Bullitt has Bama 93 race tune. It did 302 hp at the rear wheels on a dyno. Stockers seem to run around 285 or so. Peak torque comes on earlier. I have no engine mods and run KR axel backs.
If you want that big power, you need to supercharge.

I believe that the Bullitt is running the FRPP tune, as is the '10 GT, which is why they rate it at 315 crank HP (and likely roughly 275-280 RWHP). You can still get a good custom tune but you'll only gain the difference; perhaps 5-15 RWHP as opposed to an 05-09 GT which gains about 15-25 RWHP, depending on whose tune, what octane, etc.

Which supercharger to get?
O.K so if I want 400-450 h.p. I'm going to have to supercharge it. I want a supercharger that will keep it my weekend sunny day driver and not blow my engine up. I'm impressed with the Edelbrock E-Force because of aesthetics. The Roush is also very attractive. Let's hear some opinions on which one to get and why. Price is a major consideration.

Supercharger cost.
O.K. so if a supercharger runs around $5k, I'm guessing the cost to put it in will probably be not much cheaper. I'm definitely not much good with a wrench in my hand for a project like this. Might it be cheaper to buy an engine that put's out close to 500 H.P. and drop it in? Plus it's made to handle the punishment of the higher H.P.

The target area you'd likely hit staying NA AND not impacting street reliability and driveability is about 350 RWHP, give or take. FI will get you easily to your target. But you'll also need better rubber and some suspension mods to be able to hook up.
