Just had new Koni's arrive today. When I took them out of the box, I noticed that the top shock's bushing seems to be, I guess, warped? In no way can I bend that back to a normal shape. I send this back, right?

It looks damage, top shock bushing is skewed and bottom shock has a gap.

Just received this response straight from Koni

"The bushings are not bent, they are rubber and are designed to flex. Once they are installed they will flex even more. I see no issues with those dampers."

You'd think these would have never made it past inspection...

Considering the response you got from Koni was basically there's no problem, why would you think they'd fail inspection?

I personally don't see anything clearly wrong with them. The bushings will flex when installed on the car. If you could flex them yourself, then I would consider THAT a problem.

If Koni says they're ok though, then they're probably ok.

I bought some Monroes for my truck this year. Cheaper I know, but they were shodily assembled as well. They didn't look like that when I installed shocks in high school at Sears 40 years ago.

If it's the bushing who cares, it won't make a difference. By the time you put it on the car and crush it will all look and work the same.

Take a straight edge and see if the mount itself is bent. If the centerline of the metal mount is off from one end to the other, THAT is a problem.
