Coolant temp sensor problem?????
Ok... Once could of been a bad sensor, twice maybe the wrong sensor, but three times this summer. It has to be something else.. I have had to replaced my coolant temp sensor three times this summer. What gives, I have begun to think the sensor failing is a symptom not the problem. The only thing I can think of is maybe there is a issue in the AC system that's causing it to fail. ANY input or things to check will be greatly appreciated. I will be replacing it again tomorrow.

Is it the cylinder head temp sensor? How do you know it's failing?
its the sensor that plugs into the thermostat housing, when it fails the cooling fan doesn't work.
Awe. Sorry I haven't dealt with that. If it keeps failing, I would look at the wiring going to it.
I've thought of that. I'm not getting any error codes and my diablo programmer isn't pulling any problems either.
Could be your fan relay.
I thought of that and replaced the low and high speed relays with the on for the rear defroster( its the same type) no luck.

I took it to the shop this morning, their best guess is a bad ground wire. I will be running a new one today.

coolant temp sensor
I have a quick one if someone could help me with it. Are the two coolant temp sensors the same on a 98 gt? I bought one from oreillys and want to make sure it will go on the spot where the gauge one goes just in case they sold me one for the computer. Thx
