Default Taking the '14 to the next level

Hi all,

I've got a 14 premium with track pack, had it about a year, 6k miles, mpt tune and exhaust. I'm ready to take it up a notch, so next week it's getting the boss intake, jlt cold air, and a NX 100 wet shot. I'll post before and after pulls. Cheers!

Nice mods. You're gonna want to upgrade the suspension and add some sticky tires if you intend to plant all of that power!

Yeah these things are quick on the unit. Two or three guys in my area come out to the parkway every weekend on spray. Out of probably 50 cars that show up on Fridays & Saturdays, the only cars that are clearly faster than the nitrous 5.0's are a big-turbo SRT-4 making 500 whp, bolties/nitrous C6z, two built/boosted c6's, turbo fox. That's about it.

Haha..nice. Dont forget the famous quote..." Nitrous is like a hot chick with an STD....you want to hit it but are afraid of the consequences"..... point is dont do too much! I still want to see the burnout vids.

I'm interested in your numbers. Haven't tested mine - '13 GT/CS with the Boss intake, BBK 85mm TB, carbon fiber JLT CAI, and GT500 dual exhaust. I might not have official numbers, but I enjoy testing via the butt dyno every day...

I should have something for y'all in two weeks, waiting for the jlt cold air and the boss intake to arrive from AM. My speed shop is using a Diablo tuner to tune with, thoughts? It's a touch screen setup, and according to the tuner, will offer me the ability to switch between the Nitrous and non-nitrous tune as I please, even on the fly. Also, I'm not doing headers yet, wanting to hit that around Christmas along with cams, how much power should those mods net?

I'm no expert but I have; JLT CAI, GT500 quad exhaust, BBK 85mm TB, Boss Manifold, and now I'm using American Muscles SCT 91 tune. After talking to a few people they think I'm at ~500hp. One of these days I'll get to a dyno.

I may do headers at some point. I know I won't be doing nitro - just a personal preference.

Just a quick update, install and dyno should be complete Friday. Stock tune dyno was 367/351, MPT tuned was 373/353. Pretty disappointed in the MPT tune....
