Same Allocations as Last years Stang Gts

Well here we are 2 months into the 2006 Stang GTs.....
As I can see Some dealers have Stang Gts on their lots selling for MSRP or More,But they are in the South just like last year..But there are a few like last year that you can get a deal on.Most of the dealers like last year are in the south,Capital Ford has many stang Gts on their lots but they are dead set at sticker...
If you have read last years posts around Nov 2004 people have had orders for their Gts but most had to reorder them as a 2006 last June.
To me it seems that they are making the same amount of Stang GTs...
I got lucky and got mine at Invoice but the dealer has not seen any GTs since I bought mine.I see that in Pa,NJ and NY you can find a dealer or 2 that have one or two Gts,but they want sticker or higher. But most dealers have only V6s ONLY......
So I would not Order a Stang GT unless you want to change it to a 2007 in June of 2006....I would say if you can get a stang Gt at sticker or LESS get it because when spring comes around you might not have a GT....
I am sure many are Getting Gts from Orders just like last year ,but most will never see the car...Let me know if I am wrong....The less Gts that they make the Resale says up for us.JohnnyT

Its all about supply and demand. They can get MSRP and higher because the car is in demand and people are willing to pay that for the car. There are a few dealers in my area that have 06 GT's on the lot..one dealer has had the same 2 cars on the lot for about a month now, Ive been meaning to check out the prices on them. The dealer I ordered my car from said all the GT's they order they get in..they have a huge allocation. All in all Im happy I ordered my car, I got the color I wanted and the options I wanted. I also got my GT for about $1500 under MSRP :)

I know i ordered from a Medium size dealer in June 05 at the X-Plan price $2,500 savings.....Still would be at C/U, and very happy that i got it at invoice on labor day at another dealer on their lot .because they try to B*llSh*t yea,,,Telling me that they moved me up,and telling me that they have allocations and I was at Priotry#10 and after they told me that they moved me up I knew i was going to have problems.I was the first to order a Stang Gt at this dealer and they got one in as the one I wanted but it was Automatic. So i was not the First and I also called the Fords 800# up and I was still at C/U as of labor day...
Still I check to see if any of the local dealers have any Gts,,,,Really all have V6s but noneeeee have Gts,maybe one or 2.
So I am happy getting a Automatic(instead of Manual}
Shacker 1000 (instead of shacker500)
Silver (instead of Black)
But At invoice I am very happy and I am seeing that most are V6s at the dealer lots...I would say if you look nowwwww yea might be able to get a stang GT at sticker or under a bit.
Screw ordering one UNLESS you do it at one of the Big dealers on this site......
If I waited for the Stang Gt that I ordered in June I would still be C/U.....JohnnyT

this balancing of supply and demand thinking is flawed*I think*

if dealers gouge over sticker, yeah, they may get it, but ford wont see a penny of it.
if dealers gouge over sticker they will piss away SOME ford customers.

any dealer able to 'justify' gouging to himself will likely never understand when he goes bankrupt
'what went wrong'.

any dealer that dont thing gouging over sticker goes unnoticed by people looking for a place to shop
will likely also wonder what went wrong.

these guys are the problem- for you, me and for Ford.

How can anyone get a GT for 23K?
In Calif. I'm seeing lots of GTs but they all have aftermarket ad-ons, like $2000 rims, Rousch packages, etc.

MY mustang gt MSRP was 27200, but i haggled before and after my order was in. I paid 25700 before tax and stuff. At first they didnt want to go under msrp since most of the cars on the lot are marked up 2k-5k but they went down.

In Southern Calif you can get MSRP or better if you deal through any dealers Internet Dept.
Use email for the whole transaction except for delivery

You can't get a fully loaded Stang Gt at $23k and call it invoice......
I have the shacker 1000
Automatic trans
Red Seats
upgrade interior....
MSRP $30125
Invoice $27,878..............................$4500 savings I don't think so...Unless he got a fully loaded Deluxe without A/C no Radio and 1 tire.JohnnyT
