I've been having a clunking noise but mine is an auto. As I come to a stop, I get a clunk like a backlash type noise. I've been to the dealer twice. Second time, they replaced the control arms based on a TSB. I'm not enjoying the clunk. My wife has a 14 GT auto as well, and hers does not make the noise. Thoughts?

I installed an aluminum one piece driveshaft in mine within the first year of having the car. It got rid of the clunks from the two piece driveshaft and for lack of a better description it gave better feedback and felt better attached. Not to mention the acceleration increase in the seat of the pants!

I do notice the gear backlash from time to time though.

Thanks Deysha; I'll swing by a dealership sometime when the weather is nice and the car can come out of the garage.

Let me get this escalated to the customer service manager for your area, jester0618. They will work with you and your dealer to look into this. Please PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number.
