I had the same problem, wheel hop and spinning, I could be going 40mph and just light them up (in second gear)!
I since got the J&M lower control arms, helped with the wheel hop, but not so much the traction. With the replacement tires of Continental Extreme DW's (255's), I can now floor it in first and second and she holds very well now!
