custom under hood kit

I hated the look of the insulation blanket under my hood and spent a few weeks creating this stainless steel kit with custom logo.

Looks great!

Details? How did you attach them to the hood? Are these custom made that you made? Or did you got it from somewhere... it looks great.

I made it myself. Although it would have saved me a lot of time if someone sold a kit like this, but none can be found...

Did you happen to take pictures as you went? A DIY thread on this would be sweet. I like it a lot!

That is a fantastic look! Great Job!

I tried a variety of materials over the past month. Aluminum, steel, different gauges, methods of cutting, materials to mount on the car... as far as a how to- it would be a long list of what not to do... as there were several failures along the way that finally led to this result. I really like it and was curious if I was the only person that wished someone would make something like this.

Nice work, I'm sure it took a lot of your time to get the panels exactly right too.

And beautiful Xcharger. Wish I could get it to fit the 3.7, I miss that "X-scream"

Thanks man, can't tell you how many times your posts were important in the building of my car.

Looks nice. I don't think I've ever seen that before on a mustang.
