2005 to 2009 mustang gt vs optima sx turbo

i was shocked and somewhat proud to read this post.
My wife drives a v6 optima... which is no where even close to as fast a mustang. On a side note... when we were married in the smoky mountains, we stayed at the top of pine mountain (very steep climb to the top). her kia climbed to the top with no problem, but my mustang was stinking like a camp fire in the transmission when I got to the top (mustang had 7k miles on it at the time). Optimas are some really well built cars. 150k on my wifes car and not one issue.

Unless the driver of the Mustang can't drive the Mustang wins almost every time in a drag. On an auto cross track, stock for stock, it will definitely be a drivers race as both cars will likely perform very similar in stock fashion so whomever works it the best will win.
