emmisions on tunes
hi
I put a sct 4 tune on my 2012 gt vert. I also have bbk intake and roush axle backs. I put in a 91 oct tune. My question is will it pass emmisions with this tune. I'm from Ontario Canada.

Generally if you don't ask for an emissions tune, the tunes have sensors turned off, different jurisdictions have different rules about whether and how many sensors can be "not ready" and still pass. Your best bet is to get an emissions tune. If you bought your tuner from american muscle then you can ask them to give you an emissions tune (no charge if you bought through them), or you can go to your favorite mail-order tuner or dyno tuner and have them write you an emissions tune (likely at a cost).

The base "starter" tune from SCT is basically what almost every tuner starts with when writing a custom tune. However, the SCT tunes have the rear O2's turned off by default. So unless you tell the tuner to turn them on, they will most likely be off, and it will keep at least 3 monitors not ready - which won't pass emissions. When I say won't pass, I don't mean "fail" - I mean the inspection computer wont be able to complete the inspection.
