Just finished up yesterday my latest projector retrofit. I've had this project on the back burner for a while, and since track seasons is over I've had some free time work on them.

The core headlight is a set of Spyder projectors. Light output was reasonable with these, but the led array was bit too bling-ish.









So I pulled out the stock projector and replaced them with a set of Morimoto Mini h1 6.0. They have a spyder mounting plate which fit with some modification on this application. Running 4300K morimoto ballast and bulbs.

I also decided to run a Audi style led switchback strip. I ran them to outline the outer edge, instead of around the projector like they came. I also left the 1157a in place so I didn't have to run a resistor. Also left the angle eye, though it kind of gets washed out with the projector on.

The light output is outstanding, though I don't expect anything less with Morimoto. The led switchbacks turned out great. Very custom looking with oem like operation.

That's awesome. I had Spyders on my 98..they were horrible for light output.
