Default 06 Mustang GT Seat Belt lite and chime wont shut off!

Need help guys got a 2006 Mustang GT, had to replace my drivers side seat buckle (wouldnt let the belt out of buckle) and after i did the car wont recognize that the seat belt is in the buckle. So the light chimes and blinks light the belt isnt in but it is. Cant use the method to turn it off like the manual says cuz it doesnt think the belt is in the buckle. And suggestions?

The switch is in the seatbelt latch. Easy enough to test with a meter

The problem is that when someone sits in the passenger seat it does it too, its not only the driver seat. So would the problem be the buckle? Or something else?

When you got the old seatbelt buckle out did you do force it out of the latch?

Maybe you broke something getting it out.
