Default clunking noise/manuel

alright guys having a tough issue finding out this issue, have a 2006 gt with about 60k. clunking noise while feathering the accel. on and off the throttle. as soon as i touch the gas and let go there is a constant clunk. im starting to think its in the clutch/tranny just because ive replaced everything i thought was the issue...rear lower control arms and upper/ with a new bushing. i replaced the drive line as well. and i also have motor mounts i need to put in. then the most recent thing were my spider gears because they had tons of wear and play, and i replaced those with OEM ford stuff. anyways, becoming very annoying.

anything helps, thanks

I think Manuel is stuck in the trunk and banging on the lid. Maybe you should let him out.

If you already know that the engine mounts need replacing, and you're looking for the source of a clunking sound...

I think even Manuel would agree that you're on the right track.

haha cant believe i didnt catch that. well i got the motor mounts because the car is getting old and most things are original. i dont believe its the issue mostly because i can hear the clunk in the clutch/trans area. and i have replaced the trans mount and bracket. but i am going to replace the motor mounts just to cross it off the list

The stock driveline in the manual tranny vehicles is very clunky. Other than checking your u-joints, its (supposedly) normal.

Get an aluminum one piece driveshaft and the clunking will go away.

If you have an adjustable BMR panhard with rod ends, that's where the noise is coming from. I have to keep fixing mine because it rotates and starts hitting the chassis. Very annoying.
