Default Steering wheel shake when braking

I have a 2007GT with 87k miles. Mostly I cruise, it sees some traffic but not much.

I just had all 4 wheels balanced, but i dont think it is related to thr issue.

When I brake I get significant wheel shake.

Im trying to sell the car, so whats the most cost effective solution here. Thanks everyone.

Go somewhere where they can turn your rotors. A brake shop of some type. Have them check them.

Don't forget to torque the lugnuts properly to help avoid warping the rotors again.

Most likely just the fronts.87k? You probably need new ones. The cost to cut can be close to new ones.Better off just to make one trip to the auto parts shop than two.

Rotors today are made thin to save weight, so turning them isn't as good an idea as it was years ago. A lot of times if you turn them, they will warp again soon, so it's better to just replace them. Also, it's a good idea to buy good rotors instead of the cheap junk sold a lot of places. When I replaced mine, I went with Centric rotors from Rock Auto. Decent price and great quality.
