Whirr sound from cold trans

Whirr sound from cold trans
Anyone else getting a loud "whirrr" sound from their manual transmission? I noticed it now that it is starting to get cold and I called the dealer and they said if you notice it any other time than when it's cold bring it in. It goes away when the trans warms up. Any ideas?
