TAKATA AIR BAG RECALL-'05-'14 Mustangs!!!
#23
I got a letter a day to two ago. Called Dealer yesterday, they are getting calls, don't have parts yet. Took my name and number and said they'd be getting back to me. Been waiting this long, reckon I can wait longer. We've been hearing about this issue forever, I wonder how many "update parts" they are putting out in a month.

you're glad to see Ford is doing something which they're required to by federal law? You realize Takata is responsible for these defective inflators in like 35 million cars total, not just Mustangs, right?

Where's the district manager?
Hi: I recently had the airbag inflator replaced in my 2009 V-6 convertible under the recall. When the car went in the dashboard was nice and flat. When I got the car back the passenger's side airbag cover was slightly elevated. I complained to the dealer and all I got was "your car's old." Why yes, it kinda is, but that doesn't forgive the fact that you screwed up the look of my dashboard. The dealer said there is nothing they can do so I called Ford - apparently in Bangladesh. They were as useful as ***** on a bull and referred me back to the dealer's Service Manager. I told him I wanted the name of the district/area manager and he said there is no such thing - the same thing Ford corporate told me! REALLY??? Does anyone know how to get in touch with such representative?

Got mine done a few weeks back. The dealership had to order the part which took a couple of weeks. But the install was quick and easy.
It's not the airbag, but only the inflator which is being replaced...
