Default driveshaft vibration or wheel hub/bearing issue?

I've got a noise that occurs with every full revolution of the wheels. (occurs faster as I drive faster). It's like the driveshaft isn't spinning smoothly, just a bit of roughness feel with each revolution. Not really a vibration. This may be typical of most cars after lots of miles, but I'm curious if I can do something about it. It's not wheel balance, I had those balanced recently. Could it be bearings in the front, and is that something I can access and change out myself? Could it be a bent driveshaft? I have a 2006 with 130k miles.

Default Drive shaft rotating noise.

I have a 2000 v.6 I purchased as a salvage alittle over a year ago.. I heard the noise as I drove it from the mechanic that sold it to me but every time I brought back questioning the noise they would not tell me what it was they would play stupid.. Apparently when the drive shafts get rusted they have a horrible corroded almost grinding sound when you are in low gears..I am upgrading to a 351 very shortly but this week in particular I am changing the clutch transmission and driveshaft... This is not a new drive shaft I pulled it from an 03 model. I started to purchase that along with everything else from American muscle but they warned me that with a 351 swap an aluminum shaft would not go over well... The shaft isn't new but is better than the one I have I will definitely let you know this week how I got the noise to cease.. Even if I have to grease it myself it's a disgusting sound for a mustang.. Period

I wouldn't say it's a disgusting sound, maybe mine is not as bad as what you have going on.

Perhaps not but I replaced the drive shaft with a cleaner one and the noise greatly subsided. It's very quiet the way it once was when I purchased the vehicle. after finishing the motor I will most likely put a new one in since that seems to be it.

The easiest way to check and see if it's a wheel bearing is to jack the car up and turn the wheels one at a time. Often times you'll feel it more than hear it if a bearing is really blown out.
