Wouldn't pay more than $5000 for a 170K miles car but that's just me.
Although that transmission is pretty much bullet proof with a stock engine, it would be the first expensive part to go with that kind of mileage.
Then, you're looking at the accessories like alternator, AC compressor, rack and pinion steering etc...
Ask when was the last time the belt was replaced if it ever was...

The Tremec TR3650 is a SOLID transmission. The 4.6 V8's are robust as well. Mostly found in police pursuit crown-vic's, crown-vic taxi's and Lincoln TC's used for Livery service. They can run up to and over 300K miles as long as their maintained.

Price will vary, do your homework. How does the body look? Will this be a Daily Driver or project car?
