the door gasket does come off easily but its also a known water leak point. all of us know about the SJB issue and eliminating one source of the leaks speaks volumes in my book. you can get the OEM gaskets or make your own but fix them soon. as far as the lights go, they look like they have been soaked in oil and got hot for years. check your local CL for used ones or like said above, get new ones. good luck
