Hi everyone,

I am hoping for a quick response here as I am in the process of working a deal.
I have a 2006 V6...single exhaust, not a fan, feels restrictive at higher rpms.
I have a line on a take off exhaust from a 2014 GT.
My question is, will I run into any issues trying to mate a 2014 cat back stock exhaust to my 2006?
I know it won't sound as good as a true aftermarket cat back system and probably won't offer the highest performance gains, but its way cheaper then a aftermarket cat back system and for now that's most appealing.

It will require custom work. Different size and different muffler mounts.

Yup, you should be able to make it fit but it won't be a straight bolt on affair. As you offer up each component of the 2014 GT system, you'll see what modification will be required.

the SOHC Cologne engine is a boat anchor; it's a truck engine originally meant for the Explorer and Ranger. it doesn't breathe well enough at higher RPMs to make exhaust work worthwhile.
