This is why I bought my C&L used for $100. No plastic tube with a filter stuck on the end should be worth $300+ IMO.

I've been researching a little bit and found out that CAI are not worth it. So far I put flowmaster mufflers and a K&N filter. According to your details all I need is a good tuner. Any recommendations?
Brenspeed, maybe Lund but he's expensive. Better yet see if there's a good tuner nearby and do an actual dyno tune. No mail order tune will be as good as an actual dyno tune unless the guy doing the tuning sucks (which is always a possibility)

Yup, I agree. Unfortunately I bought into the BS and got the C&L racer along with the tune. Big mistake. I'm working on modifying mine, if it comes out ok I'll post a how-to, otherwise I'll just sell it and put the stock airbox back in.
