Door Seal in trim- help

I actually didn't trim anything. It was a little snug going in for the supposed "thinner spots", but that just made it a tighter seal in my opinion. nothing seemed out of place or too think. I think it has compacted a little over time. I might need to retighten the screws.

I didn't trim off the wideness either. It just hangs slightly over into the plastic trim which you don't see. So I just left it.
