Default GT500 shifter Noise/Rattle/Vibration?

Hey Guys,

I知 a new owner of a 2011 Shelby GT500 SVT packedge 6 speed.

The car has 12k miles on it. In 1st 2nd 5th and 6th I hear this humming/very slight vibration noise and some rattleing when going between gears, I never noticed it because I always had the music on. Now I hear it because I知 looking for it haha

The weird part of this is in 5th or 6th if I move the shifter over to Right side maybe 1/8th of and inch it goes away, same with 1st 2nd but pull it towards the left ..it痴 doesnt do this sound in 3 or 4th gear because I知 guessing the shifter isn稚 to the left or right side. I知 wondering is something wrong here, 6th is louder then all the rest. I値l attach a video let me know what you guys think. It痴 very short because of the 5MB threshold but you can tell what I知 talking about.

I guess no one has an idea? If this is a tranny issue or shifter? Can this shifter be adjusted?

Does the car have an after market shifter in it ?
The Barton I had in my 11 transmitted more noise to the cabin than the stock shifter.

Not that I know of no. What is weird if it痴 moved slightly the noise goes away. So it seems like a physical thing but I知 not sure though. Does your do the same with moving the shifter slightly?

I don't have any slop in my linkage, if that's what you're asking ?
And I removed the rubber isolation block when I replaced the shift handle.

No I mean when in gear moving it slightly takes away the sound/vibration if thats indeed what it is. Check out my videos I posted. I show what I’m referring to.

I took the center console up and I think I have a Barton shifter, is that good? Could that be the issue, I noticed the rubber grommet on the bottom of the shifter is cracked I wonder if that’s what’s causeing the shifter to go further over to make the noise.
