loud honking noise from rear deck

Default loud honking noise from rear deck

2006 gt...i know my battery is just about shot. my car sat for about a week and i just tried jumping it and its dead..i put a jumper on an instantly a loud honking noise from the rear deck as if someone was just holding the horn down..but from the back. i got the car started and it still made that noise..i disconnected the rear speakers and still noise...im clueless right now...any ideas!

YES!! i had that!! i drove my 2006 down the street to my brothers shop
& he yanked it out
it's not the speakers
actually we never even checked, but,
do you have the alarm wiring by your rear view mirror?
i just disconnected the alarm plug by the mirror,
but honestly don't know what caused the racket.
the wire was hot as heck after about 2 minutes of embarrassing me driving to the garage;

my original battery was dying,
then i got another that froze & the case just cracked in pieces,
& got another good one, then the racket started one morning

the wire is in the trunk by the rear speakers somewhere, & my brother just yanked it lol
...my car is in storage, so I can't check for you

There is an alarm in the trunk, passenger side as I recall as part of the anti-theft system which you musts have. Sounds like you may have fried something when jump starting it and set the alarm.
