I am trying to replace this part, and it looked to be very simple. I was able to remove the electrical line, and top hose pretty easy. Then I tried the bottom hose... there is a yellow plastic ring inside of the hose itself, making it impossible to get the hose off.

I was able to slip a flat head screw driver under the ring and raise it up some, but that did not help. Am I supposed to remove the ring completely, or is there some other method I am missing?
