Reseal \ remove quarter window
Hey Guys,
Can anyone give me some tips and resources on how to remove the rear quarter window and replace the weatherstripping around it. I am getting a ton of water filling up my rear panel just below the window. I have never removed a window before so I don't know what I need as parts and tools.
I did a search on here and didn't come up with anything for my year. You tube has a ton on older mustangs, like 67s.
Thanks for the help.

The Silverhorse racing instructions for windows removal to replace with their louvers should help you out... removing the window is obviously the same.

looks like it's cutting wire and careful use of a heat gun to soften it... Option 2, if you can get that flex seal black paint, and get to the inside of the window under the interior parts, tape off the window glass and spray the **** out of the leaking area with flex seal, that'll work. That stuff's pretty dense when it dries. Then just remove the taped off glass and let it cure for a day or two.

Temporarily, you could squeeze in a bead of black silicone sealant in the
crevice around the window. Do the other side so it looks even? That is
what I would do, till I could get the window removed, resealed, and set.

Can you provide a link of the substance you thinking of? And how hard would it be to remove it when it comes time to replace the seal?

If you're looking for the cheapest and easiest possible solution just run a bead of silicone around the window to seal it. You can buy different colors so try and find one that won't look too bad. If you did it on the inside you should be able to hide most of your work.
