You'll only hit that target with FI. Period.

What he said. Good luck getting anywhere near those numbers N/A.

I did 3.90's when I was n/a. 6 speed though. Great balance between 3.73 ,and 4.10. With 5 Sp. I would do 4.10's. If you plan to ever do FI, he ready to go back to 3.31 or 3.55. Too much gear with FI is challenging.

If you're planning to hit that goal in the future with forced induction, then I would suggest against 4.10 and maybe against even 3.73, as with that power and torque the wheels will be spinning at will in 1st, 2nd, and most of the way through 3rd with the stock gears on street tires (anything other than some summer max performance).

although I have 4.10's, go with 3.73.
3.73 is plenty of gear

If you are going to go FI..stick with what you got..either the 3.73 or 4.10 would be way to much gear for FI

Does stroking the engine to 5 liters add any meaningful HP? With accompanying mods of course.

Depends on what you consider meaningful. The extra displacement of the stroke will give a direct proportional increase in power... all other things being equal... meaning if you stroke it from 4.6L to 5.0L you will gain around 8.7% more power & use 8.7% more gas.
So on a stock 4.6L, you have 300HP at the crank, stroking to 5.0 would increase that crank to 326HP... 26 crank HP isn't a lot, but it's also not nothing.

However if you are stroking it, the new rods are likely forged, if you port the heads, get new springs required cams, you can hit the sweet spot of being able to safely rev the engine to 7000-7500 RPMS safely, as opposed to the stock 6250... higher revs is probably the biggest HP gain that can be had N/A.

Im of a different opinion but I go to the track every once in awhile. 410s are amazing on my car. The car makes 525 torque. My get up and go will out perform most vehicles I encounter on the street and track event the newer gens.

Every now and then Ill get a ricer or an american made car wanting to try there luck. The last time I was on the street I was at a light and a guy rolled up with his friend in the passenger side. They were wanting to go. We take off and were basically nose to nose and i pull away just enough and then decide to light my tires up in smoke. We were going 35 or 40. They immediately turned off a side street and that was that.

The feeling in my car when I take people for rides is generally disbelief. It pulls hard and you feel the torque. The torque convertor helped tremendously with that. The car is always in the power band. Anyway there are those of us that love the low end grunt
