Default 3:73 vs 4:10

Im trting to see what is better for my 2010 mustang GT. I want 4:10s but im getting alot of negative feedback from foxbody owners saying 3:73 is much better and 4:10s comes vibration and not good for a daily driver.

thoughts??

Do you have any mods, and are you planning to add any more?

Currently just cai and axlebacks. No tune. And yes i was gonna get the tuner+gears, then long tube headers and offroad x pipe.

Unless you're planning to do a cam swap that'll shift the HP & TQ peaks to higher rpm, I suggest you keep the stock axle gears. I still have the stock 3.55s and don't ever plan to change them.

Gear swap alone really isn't a great idea. It was one of my first mods to the car and I remember thinking this wasn't what I thought it would be. Meaning I didn't notice a whole lot. At the time i was new to the game and just going through the motions. OF course now I'm glad I did the swap. Without future plans of adding more then you would be better served to keep that money in your wallet.

Which Transmission do you have? 5-Speed or 6-Speed? 5-Speed go with 3.73 - 6-Speed go with 4.10's.

The 2010 GT only came with either the 5-speed manual TR3650 or the 5-speed automatic 5R55S.

I have a 5 speed. And i plan to do more mods. But i cant afford a forced induction right now. I want to hit 550-600hp with this car. Hopefully without nitrous or FI

Nice to have a goal, but I think that without nitrous or other forced induction you won't get close to 550.
