Default Does anyone's hood vibrate or bounce while driving? Help

I just recently bought a 07' GT which I love but at highway speeds (70 and above) my hood is bouncing up and down about a quarter of an inch to half an inch. It does it constantly when I am driving on the highway. It is securely latched and the dealer even tried to readjust it but it still occurs. Does this happen to anyone else? Is this normal on newer mustangs? Should I be concerned and continue to bring my mustang in to try to get the issue resolved? I really would appreciate any input so I can keep enjoying my new mustang without worrying about a problem with the hood or it somehow flying open while I am driving. Thanks.

Check the hood stops on either side. I think they are adjustable. They are located up front on either side of the hood. If they are too low what you described may happen. Mine is solid up to 125MPH; I haven't taken her any faster than that, but she sees 70 daily. Good luck!

Yes they are, turn 1/2 turn counterclock wise.
These hoods are Aluminum and will dance in the wind, I have had mine up to 142 and no issues with it popping up.

Common problem with most hoods above 70+MPH. Mine gets really crazy above 100. I will be installing hood pins, more for looks but hopefully it may help a little with the vibration. If nothing else the pins will give me the added security the hood isn't going to fly open.

Mine does it. Its normal but scary [sm=insomnia.gif] some times. If I was going to travel at 125 or more I would probably worry, but not under 100.

Forget about it and relax. [sm=itsok.gif]

My 06 is good until about 100..... BUT after that it starts acting like a darn bird flying.
Both sides flap like mad at 167 though.. btw: I will not do that again anytime soon, but what a rush...
I see pins in my future too
