2014 Mustang GT transmission issues
So for the last few months I have noticed some shifting issues with my 2014 GT premium automatic. It has 83,000 miles on it. It has been shifting kind of hard from 3rd to 4th. It’s almost like the car is forcing itself to shift too early. The RPMs will jump up a little and the car will shift hard into 4th causing the car to jerk. And recently it has started to jerk twice when shifting from 1st to 2nd but only when I’m accelerating slowly. If I step on it then it doesn’t do it but the hard shift from 3rd to 4th will do it no matter how you drive the car.

That is called a flared shift or shift flare. Not good and can/will damage the transmission over time. It's usually caused by sticking transmission servos or valve body parts. They are sticking because either they are failing or, more commonly, you need to have the fluid replaced. DO NOT let your transmission go for 100K or 150K as the manual states. The life of your transmission will be severely reduced and will be 100K or 150K (lifetime of the transmission as they put it). You should have 100% of the fluid replaced every 30-40K miles and the tranny should last you well into the 200K miles.
