I thought with the SCT x-cal2 you don't need to buy the mil eliminators. You could just turn them off.

The install is pretty easy and I don't know if it was just MY kit, but I noticed a rattling (thought was my dash) immediately after install. Turned out the clamps that came with it weren't that good and were rattling against the pipe. It was just the screws that were bad so I swapped them out and it was fine. Just mentioning it so if you here a rattle in your dash - you'll know what it is.

I believe that it is a federal regulation/law and therefore removing any emmisions control device off of any street legal vehicle built later than 1974 is illegal. This is regardless of the state you are in. Now if you purchased it with the cats already removed I am not sure if it is still illegal but common sense says it probably is. If you want to find out more you try the EPA. Here is the link. I hope this helps.

If you purchase a car that had Cats and they were removed, you must replace them, it's the law. (hard to enforce in states that do not have inspections) So forget about it in states that require an emmisions inspection. Fines are very heavy in Va.
