Ditto the side airbags. Gives me an excuse to get some sweet Recaro's some (richer) day, though.

i have not seen any 05-6 mustang in a dealership without both of these (except for one bare bone one that had so little...including only a tape/radio player and...get this...ONLY ONE SEAT...so you get the point lol)

although not factory standard, they seem to all have them

but as for powerful cars with no ABS or TCS....check out the viper lol
Only one seat!?!? Sounds like when Mistu first came out with the 3000GT, I HEARD (never saw) that the base model L or SL (whatever it was) was so basic it only came with a drivers seat...

Ok guys, Lemme just say that this thread is pointless because of course all mustangs come with anti-lock brake systems standard. It is clearly stated on the web page some one posted from ford. Look under 4 wheel disc brakes and click on it.

ok....4 wheel disc breaks have absolutely nothing to do with ABS. FYI ....4 wheel disc brake just means that there are four disc beaks instead of two front discs and two rear drums.
anyway, i agree about the airbags. all of these things should be standard!

You are right, 4 discs is 4 disc brakes. Ok I have a 2006 V6 with NO anti-lock brakes! I can assure you that it doesn't have them, because I did a brake check from 50 MPH and ALL 4 wheels locked up and the car started sliding sideways.
I think is definately dumb not to have ABS standard.

Or...just buy the car you want with ABS. Problem solved.

If someone doesn't want ABS, then they have the option. People will complain either way.

Read the post a little more there champ.

There are some drivers that prefer no ABS interfering with driving, safety feature or not.

Race purpose vehicles more often than not do not have ABS, as do some supercars. A good driver with a good set of brakes, can modulate a brakes just as well if not better than an ABS system can.

But like I said, if you wanted ABS, you should have gotten ABS -- not cry about it after the fact simply because you had to have a Mustang at that very moment.

My v-6 came without abs or taction control, I found out the hard way after a moron swerved in fron of me and the Mustang locked its front tires for a good 30 feet before coming to a stop, men did that scare the **** out of me, last time i had driven a car without abs was in 1994 so i had gotten use to just mashing on the pedal. When i bouth the car i just assumed it had ABS and did not check or ask so it was my mistake, but i think they should be standard , down here it rains a lot and driving without abs in the rain can get pretty hairy.

Ok guys, you all are confused and making false remarks about the ABS, let me explain why.

The option you all are talking about is the ABS and traction control package. This is an option on the V6 stang.

The ABS ALONE is not an option, it comes standard.

Ok and for those thinking I'm some sort of a moron posting that disc brakes aren't ABS, let me please correct you. Yes, I know that disc brakes aren't ABS. If you all took the time to go to the web page posted on this thread and go down to the disc brake system section, you can see some blue lettering that takes you to a little link of some information on the brakes. Clearly stating that its standard.

here is the link: http://www.fordvehicles.com/assets/i.../mst06_029.jpg

NOW, CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG PLEASE.
