Default IS IT TACKY TO USE COBRA EMBLEMS?

I never really liked the ROUSH badges they put on the car with the body kit. I bought the cobra emblems and shaved down the pins to fit on the 05 GT. I have the snake emblems on my billets now and thought it would match nice. I also am building a new motor that's 90% cobra anyway. I like it but I keep wondering if it looks tacky cuz it's not a cobra and the new cobra is coming out next year. What do you guys think?

whatever floats your boat dude. If it makes you happy, do it!

Personally, it is not my taste but I will readily admit that those snakes do look pretty darn cool on your car.

My feeling is unless it is a Cobra it shouldn't have a Cobra on it.

I had a 1978 King Cobra and you couldn't find the word Mustang or a horse emblem on it, only a Cobra.

It's a Mustang not a Cobra.

I personally think it's tacky - it says your car is a Cobra, which it isn't. Your ride though, so do what you want to with it.

I voted it as tacky but I don't think it is really tacky just false advertising.

Is it tacky to put an SS badge on a Z28 or vice versa? I know certain years performed the same but what about on the years that didn't?

I asked for the poll because although I do like it, I'm also a little queesy about the fact its not a cobra so I wanted people's opinions. I value the mustang owners opinions and don't want a negative appearence to my car if the majority of mustang owners thinks its tacky - so thanks for the input guys.

If it's not an SS or a Z28 and you rebadge it as one, it's no different than putting a Type R sticker on your civic LX.

I actually agree but everybody got mad at me when I said the same thing about the fellow who put "mach 1" on his '05. [&:]
