Default Dash kit is IN

Well, we had a snow day today, so I took the opportunity to install my dash kit. It gave me some trouble, but I think I did a decent job with it. Maybe not professional quality, but then again, I'm a complete neophyte so I'm happy with the job I did.

Looks great!

That's the same way I'm going to do to mine, just the center console.

Is your from Wood Dash Experts ? If so, what material is it.

It is indeed, and it is the Satin Nickel finish, although I think they may have more than one name for "Satin Nickel."

I just did the center console, like you said. I still have the other peices and maybe I'll put a few of them on later, but I decided not to cover my factory aluminum because I like the the two tones together plus I thought the satin nickel might be too reflective to put up that high on the dash.

Be careful when you put it on, once that tape touches the surface, it sticks and that's that. Good luck!

Thanks man, I didn't put on the entire kit. I still have the rest of the peices. I'll drive around with what I've got for a while and see how I like it, then maybe I'll put on a couple more.

off topic (sorry) but i was planning no doing the opposite; keeping the stereo black and doing the pillars and above glove box/adjacent on driver side in silver

I'm not sure if I should get it to match the dash, or redo it all in the "Satin nickel", I to would worry about the glare.

Thanks for the tip btw.

Get some pictures of that, I thought about going that way myself. I don't think that will look bad at all.

allfryr...

Didn't your kit come with pieces that go on the lower sections of the cup holders... those 2 little shelves.. and another piece that fits in the slot where your console door comes down? Mine did and they look real nice in place.

Wierd - My kit from WDE doesn't have that cut out under the volume ****. I sort of like it without that. a little cleaner across.

It does look great though.. I hope your happy with it.

I don't think I got peices for the cupholders or the spot under the console lid, and I could have done without the notch under the volume ****, but I'll get over it. I am happy with my kit, but I may still be high from adhesion promoter fumes so I'll have to see how I feel about it tomorrow.

I think the "real aluminum" kit might be cut a little differently.
