i got quoted on my mirrors! but i have a serious question!
So, theres a paint shop across from my band's rehersal lockout, i asked the guy how much it would cost for him to paint my mirrors, he quoted me $200 for both, which included labor and everything, he said it would have to be sanded, bulldoged, primered and painted. But he said since the mirors are electric, he would have to remove the door panels so that he could remove the mirrors. Is this true? If anyone has done this, or knows the procedure, could you please let me know if the place u got it done had to take the door panel off or not?
P.S. what do u guys think of my new signature?
Thanks!

If you hit them hard enough with a big enough hammer, they will come off without removing the door panels.
Actually, I don't know the answer to your question, I just felt like being a smartarse and bumping your post to the top.

I've had my door panels off and I don't remember that being a requirement to take off the mirrors. I think if you remove that triangle shaped cover on the inside of the door where the mirror is, the bolts and harness are accessable. It just pulls right off. Wouldn't take but 10 seconds to check.

Yea I can see your point. It takes a special kind of person to be able to take out 8 bolts and be able to put them back. I could see how someone that does it for a living probably isn't qualified. I mean wow, something as mind boggling as removing a door panel.

if you just snap off the triangular piece of plastic where your power mirror control switch is, where the mirror connects to the door, their are 3 bolts that hold the mirror to the door.
