Default Rattle in the back

I starting to get a rattle comming from the back of my car. I sounds like metal being shaken into other metal at the tune of my exhaust when I'm at idle or at a very low (like 1100rpm) engine speed during acceleration. I have installed a set of JBA axleback mufflers, if that makes a difference. The sound is not drone, I know what that sounds like thanx to my 00 GT with flows. I sounds like a clanking but I can't duplicate it when I'm under the car.

Any ideas?

It could be your new exhuast...Are you sure the 2 hangars are firmly attached to the "elbow" that connects the hangar to the frame?

I had a similar rattle and it turned out to be the brackets that attached my long tube headers to my h-pipe. It made the dash rattle too. We ended up swapping them out and it fixed instantly. I would suggest you check all the brackets around your cats and to the mufflers.

I had that rattle after installing my SLPs. The elbow of the hanger coming off of the SLP's was rubbing up against the hanger bracket. I moved the SLP's back a little bit, and haven't had the problem yet. BTW...it took me a few days to find it...even exhaust shops couldn't find it. The way I found it was I could see some of the dirt rubbed off of the hanger right by the hanger bracket.

Hope this works for ya...

I could be that person you have locked in the trunk.... rerouting your exhaust to empty into the trunk should resolve the problem!
