BMR is working on one, I believe.

Yes, the F Bodies love 'em. I frequent a local performance shop that has a stock F Body torque arm ripped in half. Little sign says "Now THAT'S Torque!" =p (On a side note, they also have a sway bar ripped right in half. WTF?!)

really WTF? how do you rip a sway bar in half? whatever broke it must have let the rear rotate or something. i know the 3 link works ok but after seeing some of those bowties launch with that torque arm setup it's got me thinking. the best part is it's totally streetable and actually helps in other ways not just launch. i've considered ladder bars, race style 4links and s/s barsfrom jegs but that bar the f/body has works damn good. did you see on BMR website the new drag radial record was set with a torque arm car? 7.60something!! WOW!

hey spyder,
have you seen a product that was passed through these forums awhile ago... i thought it was made by carriage house or something like that. it looked like the an 05 front conrtol arm brace but with an arm that went up and bolted to the belhousing on each side. kinda making it a solid engine and trans mount. the person that posted said it helped his shifts out alot and kept the whole driveline from twisting? i googled everything i can think of but still cant find the product on anyones page... anyone help??? also is Justin's aluminum driveshaft a one piece or two piece unit? its advertised at 17lbs which is amazing because its cheaper then bmr's 21 lb carbon fiber one piece. do you have to change the pinion yoke like you do with bmr's?

justins is a one piece just like the ranger style one i made. it looks identical to mine but he claims it will hold 600rwhp. i did see him break one a MIR in oct. i'm not sure what broke first but he coasted to a stop about half track where i was standing and there were pieces of driveshaft, shifter and misc metal under the car. he is making tons of power so i'd be totally comfortable with his shaft unless you are going hp crazy like him or airfoil. then it's time to change transmissions and get a chromemoly shaft from strange or MW. if you don't want to spend the $700 on justins i'll tell you where to get the stuff done to make one for less than $350. the place i use is in frederick,md. i have a grand total of $335 in mine. if you want you can come look at mine. the shaft is 16.5lbs and is made of T6061 T-6 aluminum so it's strong don't know the hp limit yet probably 500-600 or so.
i did not see that thread but i will search also. i've done yahoo and google searches and come up with nothing so far. i have a bay in my dads shop for all this week so maybe i'll just make one. he's got everything there to do it. seems like a great way to go. i'll get some heim ends and threaded tube adapters from chassis shop and make it totally adjustable(for pinion angle).

that's a neat piece it would have saved me from buying the urethane engine mounts.(by the way i got them on ebay for $109. i let you guys know what kind of quality they are when i get them. sure beats steeda's $300 mounts.
what i was talking about looks like a big long ladder bar that bolts to the rear housing and runs all the way to the trans crossmember and is fixed there with a special bushing and brace. it helps with rear sqat and lift when accelerating and braking. it also moves the cars IC out and down a bunch to help lift the front and transfer weight. i can't believe that nobody makes one yet...wait yes i can thats the way almost everything for this car is. they advertise it. i order it and then they have to actually make my part.[&:]
